Credit Union Association of Colorado
Endorses Jeff Crank for Congress
ARVADA, CO. (April 29, 2008) - Jeff Crank, Republican Candidate for Congress in the 5th Congressional District has been endorsed by the Credit Union Association of Colorado (CUAC), the trade association for Colorado’s 120 credit unions and its’ 1.7 million members – over 300,000 of which reside in Crank’s District.
The endorsement was announced by CUAC at an event in Colorado Springs honoring Crank. Crank also received the CUAC endorsement in 2006 in a race he narrowly lost by 892 votes.
The Fifth Congressional District includes: El Paso, Teller, Lake, Fremont, Park, and Chaffee counties.
“Credit unions and our member-owners have a long history of bi-partisan support for candidates who understand the benefits – lower rates and better service – which flows from our not-for-profit cooperative financial institutions,” said John Dill, President/CEO of the Credit Union Association of Colorado. “We are pleased to strongly endorse Jeff Crank in Colorado’s 5th District because, he, in turn, is a strong supporter of credit unions.”
“Electing strong credit union supporters from both political parties is our goal,” said Timothy Dore, Senior Vice President of Government Affairs for CUAC. “Jeff Crank is a life-long credit union member and he will be a strong and effective voice for credit unions as Congressman for the 5th District.”
