Your post made me chuckle. Incidentally, you weren't the anonymous blogger in question. It was one of the token Republican diarists at Pols - hardly someone with credibility as an independent conservative blogger. While it was an amicable gesture to propose this person in my place, it simply wouldn't work. The debate needed somebody more the equivalent of David on the Right - whether me or not - but it couldn't have been someone with so little blogging "street cred," as they say.
