Schaffer v Udall  Today's Chuckle  It seems that Mark Udall does read conservative blogs

Schaffer v Udall  Who Got the Memo  We actually like that mantra, especially when it is applied to taxpayers. Most taxpayers don't feel valued by Democrats, and we were wondering what Mark Udall and Bill Ritter plan to do about it?

Rossputin  Bentley Rayburn, carpet-bagger?  As my regular readers know, I took an active interest in the Republican primary in Colorado’s 5th Congressional District (the area around Colorado Springs) in 2006 despite not living there. (After all, there’s not much point in my trying to help Republicans in the People’s Republic of Boulder, where I live.)

Face the State  The Two Sides of Jared Polis  For years, Colorado Democrats have looked the other way as Jared Polis, a key party fundraiser has maintained his commitment to conservative-leaning school choice causes. Insiders say they've done so because Polis has also ponied up heavily to support political candidates unsympathetic to such causes. But as he gears up for his own bid for office, the question is being raised: Can Polis continue to make both sides happy?

Slapstick Politics  Abortion Foes Plan Fight If 2008 DNC Protest Prohibited  It's not very often both right and left agree on anything.

Exvigilare  Finally  All procrastinators put off things they have to do. Structured procrastination is the art of making this bad trait work for you.

Line of Sight  "Good News" from Governor Ritter:  Your taxes are going to soar  Only government would have the gall to spin that kind of slight of hand into a “good news” tale, but that’s exactly what’s coming from the Ritter administration. Smacking homeowners with additional property tax adds insult to injury at a time when the economy is shaky and the housing market is reeling.

Comment:  1.  Do read the Face the State essay on Polis.  2.  Also, read the Rossputin essay.  We will have a few comments later today.

Avoiding the harvesters: We do have a tipline, so that's a start. At thecoloradoindex, of course, followed by the typical dot com. Sorry to be cryptic, but we've already been bit by spam city and our address only appeared on the net once.
  • Hints and Rules
One goal of this site is to help Republicans write essays that are as effective as possible, and by that we mean essays have search engine sticking power. Bloggers may wish to look at the Hints and Rules category from time to time.
  • TheColoradoIndex
A site that promotes other Colorado Republican writers with links. The site also publishes essays that Democrats and their media fans might find unfriendly, but fair. Sometimes substantially identical essays will be written about individual Democrats who participated in a group event. The purpose is not to bore readers but to have individualized searchable essays that will call as much attention to that one individual's actions against the public interest as possible.
