March 9, 2007 Sweep

We are trying to build traffic at Republican sites.  Please pick two links and click on them, even if you don't read them.  Any two.  We don't care.  We can't build traffic unless readers come every day.  The best time to come is when you open your email.  Ask your children to do it too.  Think of it as a daily chance to vote for Republican ideas and ideals.  If you are concerned about finding negative stuff about Republicans, you needn't be.

Political Live Wires  Statewide GOP Calendar.  You will need a Yahoo account. Don't miss events needlessly.  Political Services GaloreLincoln Day Dinner?

Political Pale Horse  Should Conservatives Have to Settle  As a Party we have compromised enough. It ends here. The true conservative candidates for president are listed below.  NOTE:  Our first version of this left out PPH.  It was an accident.  They will get top billing this weekend.

Republican Study Committee of Colorado.  Our Constitution survives [ Ken ] Gordon's attack.  We put the link to the RSCC site because their document is pdf while their site is not.

The Outlander  The news media - The Fort Collins Weekly  In the most recent issue of The Fort Collins Weekly the editor, Greg Campbell, in his defense of Andrew Boucher, pointed out that Boucher is not paid for his twice-a-month column

The Outlander  Economic News - Loveland The darlings of northern Colorado, the McWhinneys, recently announced planned to build 1,000,000 square feet of residential, business, and retail space at their site east of Loveland

Colorado Conservative Project  CCP Self Defense Class.  Humor.  Humor is good, we don't get enough of it.

Colorado Conservative Project  Goofy Gordon's Attack on Constitution Fails.  This is a reprint of the RSCC item above.  Normally, we wouldn't promote reprints, but it is NOT pdf, which will make people happy.

Colorado Conservative Project    Commentary:  "Flawed" Republicans or true conservatives  A well written think piece.

Colorado Senate News  End Run on Electoral College dies in the House   An effort by the Senate majority leader to bypass the Electoral College was crushed in a House committee Thursday after constitutional scholars testified it would wreak havoc with elections.

Colorado Senate News GOP chides 'partisan' war resolution at mid-term meeting with media  Despite the title, the article is much broader and hits the high points of the session.  The best quote was:  [ Senator Andy ] McElhany said it's hard to understand Democrat's strategy in opposing the GOP's agenda for health care, transportation and other core issues important to voters. He noted the Democrats don't seem to be offering very many substantive bills of their own on those issues. "I think the Democrats would rather do another study than make an actual difference," McElhany said.

The best hooks were in the RSCC news release

The best essay was the Colorado Conservative Project "Commentary."  We found it difficult to differentiate between their work and the work of the columnists they were quoting, but found the article well melded together and worth reading.

About This Site

  • Copyright Notice
We had a little problem with a new site that published our material as though it was theirs omitting only the links. All items on this blog copyright a watcher on the date published. Fair use exerpting is authorized and encouraged with links back to the original essay.
  • email address
Avoiding the harvesters: We do have a tipline, so that's a start. At thecoloradoindex, of course, followed by the typical dot com. Sorry to be cryptic, but we've already been bit by spam city and our address only appeared on the net once.
  • Hints and Rules
One goal of this site is to help Republicans write essays that are as effective as possible, and by that we mean essays have search engine sticking power. Bloggers may wish to look at the Hints and Rules category from time to time.
  • TheColoradoIndex
A site that promotes other Colorado Republican writers with links. The site also publishes essays that Democrats and their media fans might find unfriendly, but fair. Sometimes substantially identical essays will be written about individual Democrats who participated in a group event. The purpose is not to bore readers but to have individualized searchable essays that will call as much attention to that one individual's actions against the public interest as possible.
